What Are Some Delicious Gas Grill Recipes?

Cooking outdoors using a grill is a very enjoyable activity. Serious grillers may use their gas grills almost everyday while casual ones may use theirs once in a while and seasonal grillers may use their gas grills, of course, during the grilling season. No matter what kind of griller you are, I am sure you appreciate it just the same.

Aside from the outdoor cooking experience we would like to have, one thing that is similar among many people is the common love for grilled food. What good will all those processes in grilling do if you do not aim to produce great food in the end? For sure, even the smoke wafting from your gas barbecue grill is already making those mouths water!

For you to be able to produce mouth watering and hunger inducing food, you need to be equipped with basic recipes made for gas grilling. The following recipes are simple and are easy to follow but will guarantee you super clean plates at the end of the meal.

Grilled brisket

Ingredients: Brisket Barbecue sauce Onion Chili powder Garlic powder Black pepper Bay leaves

Procedure:

Wash the brisket thoroughly and drain. Trim off the excess fat. After trimming the fat, season the brisket with onion, ¾ cup chili powder, ½ cup garlic powder, ½ cup black pepper and a couple of bay leaves.

Preheat the grill and then reduce it to a half flame. Place the brisket on the grill particularly on the side where the flame is turned off. Briskets are better cooked with no direct flame. After that, turn the side with flame into a Low setting and then cover the grill.

Wait for about 2 and a half or 3 hours. Make sure the brisket's center is 140 degrees. After waiting, remove the brisket from the grill and spread some barbecue sauce. The kind of barbecue sauce you will use depends on your own preference. Then wrap the brisket in aluminum foil and return it to the side without flame.

Cook the brisket and wait for another 2 and a half to 3 hours. This time, the center of the brisket should reach 200 degrees. Rotate the brisket to get all sides heated. Remove the brisket from the grill but keep it inside the aluminum for around 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Grilled fish

Ingredients: Salmon fillets Salt Pepper Dill

Procedure:

Wash the salmon fillets and drain water. Remove skin if you prefer. After removing the skin (or not), season the fillets with salt, pepper and dill. You can also use commercial seasonings that are ready to use. You can also choose to marinate the fish in a marinade of your choice. However, do not marinate fish for more than 15 minutes.

Next, preheat the gas barbecue grill to a medium-high setting. You may wrap the fish in aluminum foil to make sure none of its flesh falls through the grill grates. Before wrapping, oil both the grill grates and the aluminum foil. Cook the fish until it is opaque and turn it to get the other side heated.

Cooking fish is easier than other recipes and will not take long. Fish will take only about 8 to 10 minutes of cooking time so be careful not to leave the grill. Also make sure that your fish is not cooked over direct flame.

Grilled chicken

Ingredients: Boneless chicken breasts Vegetable oil Italian seasoning Garlic powder

Procedure:

Wash the chicken breasts thoroughly and drain excess water. Season the chicken breasts with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, ½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and one teaspoon of garlic powder. You may choose to add 4 tablespoons of mustard but that is optional.

Coat the chicken breasts completely. You can do this by mixing all the seasonings in a Ziploc bag and adding the chicken breast. Then shake it completely. You can also use a bowl. Be careful not to puncture the chicken as its flesh may become dry.

Preheat the gas grill to a medium-high setting and oil the grill grates. Place the chicken on the grill grates and wait for about 20 minutes.

Grilled corn

Ingredients: Corn on the cob Butter Salt

Procedure:

Try to remove the as much corn silk as you can from the corn without removing the husk. After removing the silk, soak the corn in water for about 15 to 20 minutes. This will prevent burning of the corn.

After soaking the corn, remove it from the water and drain off excess moisture. You do not have to dry it thoroughly, just damp enough. Not too dry but not dripping. Preheat the gas barbecue grill on a medium-high setting and then place the corn on the grill grates.

Remember to turn the corn every 10 minutes. Not doing this will result to corn with a burnt side, instead of being evenly cooked. You will know your corn is done when the corn husks already looked charred.

Remove the corn from the grill and from the corn, remove the husk and silk. Be careful in doing this to avoid burning your hands. After removing husk and silk, butter it and sprinkle with salt.

How to Grill Ribs Plus a Delicious Rib Rub Recipe for You

If your idea of the perfect dinner is BBQ pork ribs grilled ever-so-slowly over a fragrant fire (and it really should be), here's your cheat sheet.

Cooking pork ribs is pretty easy -- but for the beginner they can be really difficult to cook well. So many people think they can just throw them on the grate over a raging fire like they would a hamburger or cuts of chicken and have them turn out juicy and tender.

It ain't THAT easy.

But add just a very few little tweaks to your preparation and grilling -- like skinning the ribs, rubbing the meat with a favor rib rub, "mopping" on a sauce during the cooking, glazing at the proper time with a good BBQ sauce, and getting the temperature just right -- and you'll do just fine and have nearly world-class ribs.

At the very least they will be the best in your neighborhood.

Let's start -- but remember this is just a "cheat sheet."

You'll need about 4 racks of Baby Back Ribs, about 1 1/2 cups of wood chips (get hickory or apple if you can) soaked for 1 hour in water then drained, a couple of Lemons, BBQ Rub (remember the recipe follows) and your favorite quality BBQ mop sauce and BBQ sauce.

Preparation -- What we do NOW will determine how good the ribs turn out

First turn all the ribs "meat down" and remove the silver skin from back of the ribs. Use a pair of pliers to get a grip. It should come off completely. Just this first easy step will make your ribs better than 3/4 of what we usually see at picnics and cookouts.

Next, fire up the grill set-up for indirect heat and place those soaked chips directly on charcoal.

Cut the lemons in half and rub over front and back of ribs. Set the ribs aside to "rest" for about 5 minutes.

Rub the ribs liberally with your Rib Rub -- really work it in -- and then let them rest, covered, for another 15 to 20 minutes.

Now you are ready to start grilling.

Place ribs (bone side down first) in the center of your grate. Remember over low heat. Make sure they are never over a direct flame. Grill covered at about 325 degrees F for about 45 minutes.

Try not to open the grill for the first 30 minutes. You want the smoke to circulate well.

Open the grill and mop the ribs on both sides with your mop sauce.

Close the grill and cook until the ribs until they ar well browned, cooked through, and tender enough to pull apart with your fingers. About 45 minutes to 1 hour longer should do.

When the ribs are done the meat should have pulled back slightly from the ends of the rib bones.

Just before serving (not before), coat the ribs on both sides with your BBQ Sauce and place them directly over the fire. Heat them until the barbecue sauce is browned and bubbling, 1 to 3 minutes per side.

Remove the ribs and let them rest for a few minutes, then serve.

YUM!

Here is an easy and quick Rib Rub Recipe for you to use. For plenty more visit the links below.

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon coarse salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon good quality paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano

Just mix all together in a bowl and use immediately. Or store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Delicious and Simple Recipes

If you have a crock pot gathering dust in the back of your kitchen cabinet, there are plenty of recipes that can help you make easy meals that are not only delicious, but inexpensive to make as well. The greatest crock pot recipes are simple to make- just toss the ingredients in and let them cook all day while you're at work. When you walk in the door, you'll be greeted by the warm and inviting smell of a home-cooked meal. Here are 5 easy-to-use slow cooker recipes to try out. Most use very few ingredients, and less tender cuts of meat, so they are cheap to fix but they taste great!

With the this handy kitchen piece of equipment, simple recipes produce the best results. Soups are about the easiest thing to make, and most only require simple ingredients. For example, the tomato soup you can make in your slow cooker is so much better than the stuff that comes in a can. Just take a pound of chopped tomatoes, a pint of stock, and a chopped onion. Simmer on the low setting for about three hours, then puree it in the blender. If you like you can add fresh basil during the cook time. For creamy tomato soup, add milk before you serve. There are many more soup recipes that are ideal for the crock pot.

Most slow cooked chicken recipes can easily be made in this special pot. Also, when you make chicken this way, you get a lot of delicious chicken broth that's so much better than store-bought. Freeze it in small batches to use in other recipes that call for chicken broth. To make chicken for a slow cooked recipe, put chicken, celery, onion, carrot, and garlic in the crock pot. Cook overnight or for at least ten hours. Remove chicken, skim the fat off the top, and cool the broth to be frozen later.

Here's a yummy pulled pork recipe: In your crock pot, combine 2 cups of barbecue sauce and a four pound pork roast. Coat the meat with the sauce, and cook, covered, for six hours. You'll get enough delicious pulled pork to feed a crowd!

Chili recipes lend themselves especially well to crock pot cooking. For inexpensive chili, use dry beans (they cook especially well in the crock pot). Simmer a bag of beans and onion in chicken broth for three or four hours on the low setting. When the beans are cooked, add chicken or beef, chopped peppers and onions, and simmer for another hour or so.

There are quite a few stew recipes for the crock pot, too. Beef stew is a delicious and relatively inexpensive way to feed your family with not a whole lot of effort. Just take a pound of cubed beef, some chopped carrots, onions and potatoes, cover them with beef broth, and cook them on the lowest setting for up to ten hours. Add herbs, garlic and thyme or rosemary for even more flavor.

With these easy and cheap crock pot recipes, you can cook a tasty meal with a minimum of effort. Try one of these delicious recipes today!
